Adrian is the Head Analyst for Thorpe Abbotts Capital. As a research analyst, Adrian evaluates and performs due diligence on investment opportunities for the fund. He also contributes to the firm by developing proprietary models and tools that help the team make better and more objective analyses.

Adrian received his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He also holds a master’s degree in finance from the School of Economics of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

During his time at Darden, Adrian was the Senior Portfolio Manager of Darden Capital Management’s Jefferson Fund, where he led a team of four second-year MBA students and had full discretion over a concentrated, high-quality, value-oriented, $4.3 million equity portfolio. He spent the summer of 2019 at Thorpe Abbotts Capital as part of his MBA internship. Prior to Darden, Adrian was a Corporate Events Associate at MSCI, where he was responsible for implementing intra-rebalance changes, generated by corporate actions, to the equity indexes for all index constituents across North and South America. Adrian began his professional career as a Strategic Planning Analyst at Viakable, the largest wire and cable manufacturer in Mexico, where his responsibilities included developing financial models to evaluate major M&A and CapEx investments.

Adrian was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and he remains a loyal fan of the Club de Fútbol Tigres. He enjoys hiking and cooking, particularly open-air grilling.
